Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan has released from office, at his request, Claudiu-Marinel Mureșan, the president of the Railway Reform Authority.

Claudiu-Marinel Mureșan has been released from the position of president of the Railway Reform Authority (ARF) at his request, according to a decision published in the Official Monitor by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. The announcement was officially made by ARF.

In the context of the leadership change, the strategic priorities for infrastructure and transport services for the period 2026-2029 aim to integrate the national railway, road, maritime, and air transport networks with the European ones, as well as the balanced development of the national transport system. The objectives include the acquisition of new electric trains, the development of an integrated ticketing system, and the improvement of comfort and safety for travelers. The budget project of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure for 2026 emphasizes these essential initiatives for the mobility of the population and the quality of the environment.
