The Capital City Hall allocates 30 million lei for Service Ciclop S.A., a municipal company that records losses of millions and has a politicized management, with 11 leaders and substantial allowances.

Although the company does not provide a useful public service, members of the Board of Administration receive monthly allowances of over 7,500 lei. The general director, Cristian Mihălăchioiu, earns a net salary of 13,000 lei per month and is a member of PMP. Although the City Hall is in debt, financial aid continues, and Mayor Ciprian Ciucu claims that the dissolution of the company could create problems for other municipal companies. Thus, Service Ciclop will continue to operate without bringing real benefits to Bucharest residents.

"Ciclop is a legacy company, a traditional company, but it has often lost its direction and reason for being. Essentially, at this moment, this company lives off rentals, so it’s basically in real estate," said Ciprian Ciucu, the general mayor of the Capital.
