Starting Thursday, Romania will be promoted in various capitals around the world through an international tour of screenings and cultural events, initiated by British writer and producer Charlie Ottley. This endeavor, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship, and Tourism (MEDAT) and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE), includes screenings of the production "Flavours of Romania," available on Netflix. The tour will take place in countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and the United Kingdom, aiming to showcase the beauty and diversity of Romania.
The events will include a film of approximately 75 minutes, which will present the nine historical regions of the country, followed by question and answer sessions with Charlie Ottley and Oana Mihai. The Minister of Economy, Irineu Darău, emphasized the importance of promoting Romania as a top tourist destination, while Ottley mentioned that misconceptions about Romania can be corrected through an active presence on the international stage. This initiative also aims to boost tourism and encourage international collaborations.
