Călin Georgescu launched new harsh attacks against the governments, calling them "parasites of Power" and "vermin of Romanian politics," after he appeared at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, where he is being tried alongside Horațiu Potra's group for actions against the constitutional order.

The trial was postponed at the request of the lawyers, and the sovereignist leader was greeted by supporters with patriotic songs. Prosecutors accuse Georgescu of participating in the planning of actions intended to generate chaos after the cancellation of the 2024 presidential elections.
