Călin Georgescu, former candidate in the presidential elections, reiterated the call to boycott the local elections, considering them a farce. During a visit to the police for judicial control, he stated that the free vote of Romanians has been stolen and that there is no guarantee that the elections will be fair. Georgescu emphasized that he will not get involved in the elections in Bucharest, stating that an illegitimate government cannot organize legitimate elections. He mentioned that the date of the elections, December 7, coincides with one year since the cancellation of the previous elections, which affected democracy in Romania. Additionally, the National Council of AUR has appointed Anca Alexandrescu as a candidate for the Capital City Hall, emphasizing that she will fight against the parallel state.
