The Army's radars have detected aerial targets again near Romania, and two F-16 aircraft of the Romanian Air Force were launched to monitor the situation. An RO-Alert message was issued in the northern area of Tulcea County. Five drones were tracked, and one briefly entered national territory but then exited.
"The radar surveillance system of the Ministry of National Defense detected, on the night of August 12 to 13, at 01:27, a group of five aerial targets in the area of the locality of Ismail, above Ukrainian territory, near the river border with Romania. The National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations regarding the establishment of alert measures for the population in the northern part of Tulcea County, which sent an RO-Alert message at 01:30. The target operated for approximately 10 minutes in national airspace, along the Chilia branch, after which it left Romanian territory towards Ukraine, about 13 km southwest of the locality of Chilia Veche. Shortly after exiting Romanian airspace, explosions were reported on Ukrainian territory," announced the Ministry of Defense on Thursday morning.
