The National Bank of Romania (BNR) will have a new central cashier, selected for its "beautiful signature," said Cristian Popa, the president of the Numismatic Commission. He emphasized that BNR has resumed the issuance of collector sheets after 20 years and has launched the first colored coin in the history of Romania, which has been significantly successful. Popa mentioned that BNR is working on an online store, but collectors must present themselves at the counters for purchases. He also highlighted the importance of numismatics as an intersection between banking, culture, and history, mentioning the issuance of commemorative coins. Popa encouraged the public to visit the BNR Museum to explore the monetary history of Romania, including rare pieces such as Carol's Pole, an extremely valuable coin.
