The National Bank of Romania has awarded the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy (IRES) a contract of 4.49 million lei for conducting a statistical survey on the wealth, income, and consumption of households.

The National Bank of Romania (BNR) has signed a contract with the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy (IRES) worth 4.49 million lei for conducting a statistical survey on wealth, income, and household consumption. The study, initially estimated at 6.045 million lei, will be conducted on a sample of 12,000 households and will take place in three stages: preparation, data collection, and post-collection.

The preparation stage will last a maximum of 5 months, followed by data collection from March 2026 to December 2026, which will last a maximum of 10 months. The post-collection stage will include data analysis and validation, lasting up to 17 months. Interviews will last on average 45 minutes, and for households in the middle and luxury classes, up to 90 minutes.
