The military radar at Cârcea, "orbited" by a new building constructed in Craiova right next to an ammunition depot

A real estate developer has built a new multi-story building in Craiova next to ammunition depots, without respecting the legal distance, the construction affecting the trajectory of the military radar from Cârcea, accuses the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță.

The Ministry of Defense initially gave a negative opinion on the project, but the same request received a favorable opinion three weeks later, the building already being raised to structural level, exceeding the accepted height regime. Miruță says that the situation is not isolated, recalling a previous logistics project that affected the same radar and announcing checks at all military units, as well as identifying those who changed the opinion, emphasizing zero tolerance for violations of the law and possible corruption in the approval procedures.
