Record attendance at Bucharest International Air Show: Over 450,000 people attended BIAS 2026 at Băneasa Airport

This year's edition of the Bucharest International Air Show & General Aviation Exhibition (BIAS) took place on August 28 and 29, attracting a record number of 450,000 spectators at Băneasa Airport.

This audience not only set a new record for BIAS but also for any other air show in Europe. Among the stars of the edition were the Frecce Tricolori and Turkish Stars formations, which impressed the audience with perfectly synchronized flights. The Romanian Air Forces demonstrated the professionalism and skill of Romanian pilots, while international teams brought power and agility to their demonstrations.

The tactical exercise of the Black Hawk helicopter, carried out by the General Inspectorate of Aviation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was a special moment. The show was complemented by a drone show and pyrotechnic effects, leaving an unforgettable impression on the participants. With an international media audience of 3 million and preparations already underway for BIAS 2027, the organizers promise an even more spectacular edition.
