A bear entered a hotel in Poiana Brașov on Friday, May 22, causing panic among the staff and tourists. The hotel staff called 112 to request intervention, but the operators deemed the situation not an emergency, recommending they contact the Local Police. Footage captured by surveillance cameras shows the bear climbing the stairs and forcing a door. The employees had to remain on guard overnight to protect the tourists, and their efforts to obtain help were in vain.
Another similar incident was reported on Saturday, May 23, near another hotel in the resort, with employees expressing their concern about the frequent presence of bears, which has become a dangerous habit. Tourists are afraid to visit the area, especially families with children. The presence of bears in inhabited areas is becoming more frequent, with cases reported in other localities, such as the commune of Apahida in Cluj County, where a bear was spotted near a school.
