The Ministry of Transport has issued the authorization for the modernization of the North Station in Bucharest, with the works having a value of 537,988,809.93 lei. The project aims at the urban regeneration of the area, the creation of a complex intermodal hub, and the improvement of connectivity. The interim mayor announced the organization of an international competition for solutions for the reconfiguration of the area, which will include the necessary documentation for the rehabilitation of the station, a historical monument. The project involves collaboration between various institutions and will include both public and private properties.
