The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) has signaled serious problems in the framework methodology project for high school admission in the 2027-2028 school year, considering that it could turn the process into an exam based on relationships and influences.
AUR requests the Ministry of Education to revise the project before adoption, introducing guarantees such as video surveillance, strict rules regarding conflicts of interest, and anonymization of works. The problem was generated by an exception in the 2023 Pre-University Education Law, which allows high schools with high demand to organize their own admission contest. AUR emphasizes that the National Assessment provides a national admission framework based on common rules, and the proposed changes risk affecting transparency and equality of chances.
The current form of the project allows high schools to control the entire admission process, which raises questions about its integrity. AUR believes that it is essential to maintain a national admission system and that any modification must ensure transparency and fairness in the process. The party urges the Ministry of Education to correct the project and to reanalyze the exception introduced in 2023, to prevent favoritism and preferential treatment in high school admissions.
