The first vice-president of AUR, Dan Dungaciu, stated on Digi24 that the party has no agreement with PSD, emphasizing that AUR's political objective is the fall of the Government and the triggering of early elections.
Dungaciu explained that supporting the motion against the government led by Ilie Bolojan aims for a major political change. Although many parliamentarians consider early elections unlikely, Dungaciu argues that they could become a reality if parties assess the long-term advantages. He mentioned that AUR and PNL would have reasons to support early elections, having enough votes to trigger the procedure. Dungaciu stated that AUR has had discussions with all parties, including PSD, but it is unclear whether the social democrats would benefit from such a scenario. He also criticized the position of President Nicușor Dan, stating that AUR is unfairly labeled as anti-Western.
