AUR organized a protest at the opening of the new parliamentary session, criticizing the use of justice as a political weapon in the case of Călin Georgescu. He, a former presidential candidate and indicted for serious crimes, remains under judicial control, and his request for revocation was denied. AUR argues that maintaining judicial control is a humiliation for the Romanian people and an abuse of authority. Georgescu stated that he must present himself weekly at the Police, which he considers to be a violation of the law.
