The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has issued a set of strict measures for citizens in the localities affected by floods and torrents, considering the risks of spreading infectious diseases from animals to humans.

Animal owners are advised to avoid using water from ponds or contaminated wells and to dispose of feed affected by water to prevent the occurrence of mycotoxins. ANSVSA recommends evacuating animals from flooded barns and relocating them to dry places, monitoring their health daily. Additionally, owners must contact the authorities for the neutralization of animal carcasses and avoid consuming food products contaminated by water.
