Between July 21-25, ANPC carried out nationwide checks on 1,539 economic operators. They discovered irregularities such as the sale of products with an expired expiry date, improper storage conditions and the use of unsanitized utensils. Fines of more than 5.7 million lei were imposed and 38 operators were temporarily suspended. ANPC stresses the importance of compliance with the law for consumer protection.
