The National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) conducted inspections at 'Henri Coandă' Airport, discovering multiple irregularities that affect passenger rights. Following the checks, food products without identification elements, residues from modernization works, unhygienic refrigeration units, and damaged furniture were found.
In total, fines of over 50,000 lei were imposed and 22 kilograms of products were withdrawn from sale. ANPC emphasized the importance of adhering to hygiene standards and the traceability of food products, considering the anticipated increase in passenger flow during the tourist season. Among the reported irregularities are the absence of correct information about allergens in products, as well as the lack of adequate hygiene conditions in restrooms and smoking areas.
