The control carried out by ANAF inspectors at a company in Bucharest revealed that the intra-Community supplies of goods to a Finnish company were fictitious, generating a VAT loss of over 3 million lei. International cooperation with tax authorities in the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Finland confirmed that the Romanian company had illegally used the identification data of the Finnish company to obtain tax exemptions. ANAF will take precautionary measures and will refer the matter to the competent bodies for further investigation.
