The mayor of the town of Nădlac, Mircea Onea, announced that a building abandoned for over 20 years will be rehabilitated to create six modern laboratories for the students of the 'Jozef Gregor Tajovsky' Theoretical High School.

The project, valued at 15 million lei, has obtained a non-reimbursable European funding of 11.2 million lei through the West Development Agency, while the remaining funds will be provided from the local budget. The funding contract has been signed, and the project is in the stage of organizing the auction, with works expected to start in the next four months and to be completed by 2029.

The building, which was a bank before abandonment, will be completely rehabilitated and equipped with facilities for robotics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and history-geography laboratories, thus benefiting 600 students out of the more than 1,000 in the high school.
