The Ministry of Education announced on Wednesday the publication of the list of educational institutions that will receive funding for activities aimed at preventing functional illiteracy and school dropout. More than 650 schools across the country will be included in the project.
According to the ministry, the program will target all primary-level students enrolled in the selected educational institutions. The funding will support activities intended to reduce the risk of learning difficulties and early school leaving.
The publication of the list represents the next stage in implementing the project designed to support primary school students. The beneficiary schools will be able to carry out educational interventions to develop basic skills and identify early situations in which students are at risk of functional illiteracy or school dropout.
In the announcement sent on Wednesday, the ministry did not specify the amount of funding allocated to each educational institution or the detailed schedule of activities. Primary education is considered an essential stage in developing reading, writing, and information comprehension skills.
