The Târnaveni City Hall issues the order to commence works for a desalination station, with a completion deadline of 50 days. The project, supported by Apele Române and the Ministry of Environment, will ensure drinking water for the residents of the city, previously affected by increased salinity caused by the collapses at the Praid Salt Mine. Other localities in Mureș County, such as Fântânele and Suplacu, will follow the same model. Long-term solutions are also being discussed, such as supply from the Bezid reservoir and the Mureș River.
