Alfred Bulai was sent to trial for sexual assaults

Alfred Bulai, sociologist and former professor at SNSPA, has been sent to trial by the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Sector 1 Court for sexual assaults and abuse of authority.

The decision was made on March 31, nearly two years after the opening of the case following the Snoop investigation, which revealed inappropriate behaviors of the professor. The indictment, over 300 pages long, details the acts committed against student Teodora Bătăr between 2022 and 2024, including coercing her to undress during feedback sessions.

Teodora recounted her traumatic experiences, mentioning that she was treated as a sexual object and subjected to constant pressure. Prosecutors gathered evidence from various sources, including recordings and statements from other victims. Additionally, it was discovered that Bulai deleted data from his mobile phone after the scandal broke, suggesting an attempt to destroy evidence. Psychological assessments showed that Bulai has discernment but exhibits a histrionic personality, which allows him to manipulate situations and people. Prosecutors have seized his assets, and the judge has set an amount of 80,000 euros as compensation for Teodora Bătăr.
