The death of the medical director of Buzău County Hospital, Ștefania Szabo, has raised an alarm regarding burnout in the medical system. Union leader Grațiela Constantin has urged authorities to seriously address this phenomenon, emphasizing that doctors face enormous pressures and extended shifts that contribute to exhaustion.

She highlighted the importance of recognizing personal limits and seeking medical help when necessary. In the wake of the tragedy, colleagues organized a moment of silence, expressing their grief and solidarity. The hospital manager emphasized the constant pressure on medical staff and underscored the need for empathy and communication among them. The investigation into Dr. Szabo's death is ongoing, and the results of the autopsy will be published soon.
