A 59-year-old administrator of a ferrous waste collection company in Buzău County has been detained by the police, being suspected of illegal activities related to the dismantling of vehicles in unauthorized areas.

The Romanian police conducted two searches at the commercial company, discovering 45 vehicles in various stages of dismantling, over 7 tons of hazardous waste, 950 liters of used oil, and electrical conductor. Additionally, the administrator and his employees allegedly transported approximately 5 tons of waste to the outskirts of the locality, where they would have set it on fire. The man has been detained for 24 hours for offenses related to waste management and environmental protection, and investigations continue under the coordination of the prosecutor's office to document the entire criminal activity.
