On Saturday, a 52-year-old man from Râmnicu Vâlcea died after jumping from the third floor of a building while police were trying to intervene. The incident was reported via a call to 112, and at the scene, police found the man on the balcony, refusing any form of communication. The apartment door was locked, and efforts to communicate with him from a neighboring apartment were also unsuccessful. During the preparations for rescue, the man jumped, and medical teams were unable to resuscitate him.
After the incident, police entered the apartment and found a knife with traces of blood and a farewell note addressed to his partner. The man had an open wound on his neck, suggesting a suicidal act. Authorities have opened a criminal case for 'manslaughter' to investigate the circumstances of the tragedy.
