According to INFP data, the earthquake was a weak one and occurred near several cities. The epicenter was approximately 45 kilometers south of Focșani, 59 kilometers south of Buzău, 67 kilometers east of Sfântu-Gheorghe, 77 kilometers east of Brașov, and 90 kilometers northeast of Ploiești.
In the event of an earthquake, authorities recommend that people inside homes remain indoors, away from windows, and not use the stairs during the earthquake. Those outdoors should move away from buildings, traffic lights, and power lines, while drivers should stop in a safe place.
