A young man from Dolj is being investigated for rape and child pornography, being accused of abusing a 15-year-old girl and taking photographs of her.

A 23-year-old man from Dolj County is being investigated by the police and DIICOT prosecutors in Craiova for rape and child pornography, both in a continuous form. According to the investigation, in 2024, he allegedly engaged in sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl, taking photographs of her, which he stored on his mobile phone.

After his detention for 24 hours, the Dolj Tribunal decided that the young man should be placed under house arrest for a period of 30 days. DIICOT prosecutors have contested this decision. The case highlights the seriousness of sexual offenses against minors and the need for their protection.
