Between January-April 2025, tourism arrivals increased by 0.1%, the majority of which were Romanian tourists. In April, arrivals fell by 2.5%

In the first four months of 2025, tourism recorded 3,371,100 arrivals, with 81.5% Romanian and 18.5% foreign tourists. The average length of stay was 1.9 days for Romanians and 2.2 days for foreigners. Most arrivals were in Bucharest, Brasov and Cluj. In April 2025, arrivals decreased by 2.5% compared to April 2024, but overnight stays increased by 1%. The accommodation utilization rate was 24% in April, down on the previous year.
