According to data from the National Institute of Statistics, the tourist accommodation capacity in Romania increased by 5.8% as of July 31, 2025, reaching 14,325 structures. The majority of hotels are 3-star (54.5%), followed by 4-star (28.1%) and 2-star (12.9%). Constanța County has the highest number of tourist accommodation structures, with 1,752 units, followed by Brașov (1,395) and Suceava (866). Out of the total structures, 1,669 are hotels, while apartments and rental rooms account for 34.7% of the total.


Constanța County holds 26.5% of the total accommodation rooms, and the coastal area provided the most bed places, with 117,245. Nationally, out of the 213,100 rooms, 49.3% are in hotels.
