In 2027, Andenes, Norway, will inaugurate the "The Whale" museum, located on the shores of the Arctic Ocean, an ideal destination for whale watching.
Designed by Danish architect Dorte Mandrup, the museum will combine science, the arts, and architecture to educate visitors about whales. The spaces will include life-sized sculptures, a gallery dedicated to the 90 species of whales, and a multisensory space with whale sounds. The museum will highlight the impact of industrial whaling and conservation efforts.
Tickets will be available from autumn, and the price for adults will be 540 Norwegian kroner (approximately 50 euros). Visitors will be able to participate in whale watching tours and will have access to hiking trails in the Arctic landscape, as well as the Arresten restaurant, located in a former prison, which offers local dishes.
