Pop singer Britney Spears sold the rights to her entire music catalog to the independent record label Primary Wave for approximately 200 million dollars on December 30.

Britney Spears, known for hits like "Baby One More Time" and "Toxic," has had a career marked by a prolonged conservatorship that affected her personal and professional life. Recently, she stated that she will not return to the music industry, with her last song being a duet with Elton John from 2022. The sale of the rights comes after tumultuous years, including the end of a 13-year conservatorship in 2021.

Britney Spears' catalog includes nine studio albums and is part of a broader trend, where artists like Bruce Springsteen and Justin Bieber have also sold their music catalogs.
