Blake Lively's lawyers appeared Monday before a judge in New York to request reimbursement of legal expenses and damages from Justin Baldoni, following the conclusion of a settlement agreement in May.

They argue that the defamation action filed against the actress by Baldoni and his company, Wayfarer Studios, was a retaliatory measure prohibited by California law. Baldoni's lawyers contest the request. Lively filed a complaint in December 2024, accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, citing inappropriate behaviors and comments during the filming of the movie 'It Ends with Us'. Judge Lewis Liman initially dismissed Baldoni's allegations, and the terms of the settlement agreement were not disclosed.

The film, adapted from Colleen Hoover's novel, was a major box office success, grossing over 350 million dollars.
