The Coast Guards, together with customs inspectors and BCCO officers, made a major seizure, confiscating 351,000 packets of undeclared cigarettes, equivalent to 7 million cigarettes. They were discovered in a container arriving from a non-EU country, which contained ceramic tiles, but the documents presented were false. The authorities launched investigations to establish the circumstances of the offenses of using false documents and smuggling.
