The police in Bucharest has launched a large-scale search operation in the Capital and in the counties of Ilfov, Argeș, and Buzău, in a case of fraud with serious consequences. Two women, aged 51 and 46, are accused of illegally selling homes and cars under the guise of the market for three years, claiming to be individuals with authority in oil companies.
The total damage is estimated at 1.3 million euros. The victims were lured by promises of goods that did not actually belong to the respective companies. Following the investigations, the police executed 16 search warrants and identified relevant goods for the case. The suspected women have been located and will be questioned, and legal measures will be applied accordingly.
