The border police in Giurgiu discovered 11 million cigarettes in two Polish trucks, attempting to be illegally introduced into Romania.

Border police in Giurgiu, together with the Craiova Regional Customs Directorate, confiscated 11,160,000 cigarettes without tax markings, illegally transported by two Polish citizens from Greece to Poland. The trucks were stopped on DN 56, near the Calafat-Vidin bridge, and the quantity, valued at 16,740,000 lei, along with the vehicles, was seized. Criminal cases have been opened for smuggling.
