The financier of the Moldovan team was disturbed by statements suggesting that FC Botoșani does not deserve to enter the play-off due to the quality of their game, especially in comparison with FCSB. Iftime mentioned that his team was not dominated and that coach Leo Grozavu's tactic was to play on the counterattack. He also emphasized that the team needs to win the match against Galați to secure their place in the play-off. Iftime praised Craiova's game and acknowledged that his team made mistakes, but he believes that FC Botoșani is a good team. He also commented on the refereeing, considering that Bîrsan was a good referee, despite the criticisms.
