Gigi Becali, summoned before the Disciplinary Commission following statements about Istvan Kovacs

Gigi Becali was summoned before the Disciplinary Commission following the statements he made about referee Istvan Kovacs after the Dinamo–FCSB derby. The information was confirmed by Mihai Stoica on the “MM la FANATIK” show, who specified that the owner of FCSB will most likely be represented by a lawyer.

Becali harshly criticized Istvan Kovacs after the referee’s performance in the match between Dinamo and FCSB. The Bucharest club official did not specify what sanction the club owner faces, but confirmed that he must appear before the Commission for the statements he made after the match.

At the same time, Mihai Stoica challenged the fact that refereeing officials are not summoned before Commissions after performances that he considers unfavorable to his team. “Gigi was summoned before the Commissions following the statements he made. We cannot summon anyone before the Commissions following the performances of some people who disadvantage us,” Stoica stated.

He added that FCSB receives no explanations after controversial incidents and that Becali will probably be defended by a lawyer before the disciplinary body.
