University of Craiova won the Romanian Supercup after defeating "U" Cluj in the penalty shootout.

Universitatea Craiova won the Romanian Supercup 2026, after defeating U Cluj in the penalty shootout (5-3), following a match that ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. The Oltenians dominated the first half of the duel at "Ion Oblemenco" and opened the scoring before halftime through Nsimba. Bergodi made two offensive changes at halftime and the Cluj team managed to equalize in the 53rd minute. Nistor found Macalou excellently with a long pass, the Ivorian passed directly to Aliev and he scored. 

The Oltenians started the penalty series with Al-Hamlawi, who converted confidently. Chipciu equalized for Cluj, but Adi Rus brought the hosts back in front, while Macalou sent it over the goal. The Craiova team extended their lead to two goals after Cicâldău also scored. Marius Ștefănescu scored for the guests, but Carlos Mora gave no chance to Lefter. Drammeh kept the Cluj team in the game, but Mekvabishvili converted as well, bringing the Romanian Supercup trophy to Craiova.
