The American press reveals the true transfer fee of Louis Munteanu from CFR Cluj to D.C. United

The MLS team is set to pay approximately 7 million dollars as a base amount, to which bonuses could add up to a total transaction value around the threshold of 10 million dollars, writes The Athletic.

After a disappointing previous season, finishing last in MLS with only 26 points, D.C. United is going through a significant rebuilding period. Along with the interest in Munteanu, the American club has already signed Japanese defender Keisuke Kurokawa from Gamba Osaka, an important move for the left flank of the defense.
