At the World Rowing Championship held in Shanghai, the women's 8+1 (W8+) crew managed to win the silver medal, finishing the race with a time of 6:10.83. The crew members include athletes Cristina Drugă, Roxana Anghel, Iulia-Liliana Bălăucă, Maria Lehaci, Ancuța Bodnar, Geanina Dumitrița Juncanariu, Adriana Adam, Amalia Bereș and Victoria Petreanu.
