At the World Rowing Championship held in Shanghai, the women's 8+1 (W8+) crew managed to win the silver medal, finishing the race with a time of 6:10.83. The crew members include athletes Cristina Drugă, Roxana Anghel, Iulia-Liliana Bălăucă, Maria Lehaci, Ancuța Bodnar, Geanina Dumitrița Juncanariu, Adriana Adam, Amalia Bereș and Victoria Petreanu. The gold medal was won by the crew from the Netherlands, while the bronze was claimed by Great Britain.
