The 2026 Australian Open will offer total prizes of 111.5 million Australian dollars (approximately 75 million US dollars), marking a 16% increase compared to the previous year and setting a record for the tournament's prize pool. Singles champions, Madison Keys and Jannik Sinner, will receive 4.15 million AUD, a 19% increase from 2025. All participants in the singles and doubles events will benefit from a minimum increase of 10%. Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley emphasized the commitment to supporting careers in tennis. This decision comes after pressure from top players for increased prize money and greater contributions to pension funds and healthcare assistance. With these prizes, the Australian Open becomes the second most valuable tournament in the world, after the US Open.
