Serena Williams, with an impressive record of 23 Grand Slam titles, could be eligible to return to competition starting in April 2026, including at the next US Open. Williams retired from tennis in 2022, after her name was included on the list of players monitored by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). However, ITIA officials are not very optimistic about her return, emphasizing that a player who has declared retirement must undergo anti-doping tests out of competition for at least six months before being able to resume competition. This requirement could complicate Serena Williams' return plans.
