According to the head of the Romanian Football Federation, Răzvan Burleanu, the new format of the Romanian Cup has generated a significant increase in TV audience, more than 50% compared to previous editions. Also, the number of spectators in the stadiums has doubled and the sums allocated for the prizes have been increased by 50%.
