Roger Federer, one of the greatest tennis players in history, will be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame (ITHF) during a ceremony scheduled for August 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island. Federer has won 20 Grand Slam trophies, becoming the first male player to reach this milestone, and has obtained 103 career titles before his retirement in 2022. The Swiss held the world No. 1 ranking for 237 consecutive weeks between 2004 and 2008, setting a record.
In a statement, Federer expressed his honor of being included in the ITHF and emphasized the importance of tennis history. He also had a notable rivalry with Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, his fellow "big three" members. Federer looks forward to celebrating this special moment alongside the tennis community.
