FC Rapid has announced an increase in its share capital from 75,000,000 lei to 100,000,000 lei, through an investment of 25,000,000 lei from the majority shareholder, Dan Șucu.
This measure, approved on August 17, 2026, aims to strengthen the club's finances and facilitate future investments in sports and organizational development.
Although Dan Șucu has invested over 40 million euros in the club, including in infrastructure, questions have been raised regarding his commitment, considering the team's recent poor performances.
Victor Angelescu, a close associate of Șucu, confirmed that he does not intend to leave Rapid, but emphasized the disappointment regarding previous results. This summer, Rapid made notable transfers, including the loan of Filip Stojilkovic from Pisa for 200,000 euros, and brought in players from CFR Cluj and FCSB, among others.
