Superliga: Rapid Bucharest defeats CFR Cluj 3-1 and climbs to first place in the standings

Rapid Bucharest defeated CFR Cluj 3-1 on Sunday evening at the Giulești Arena, in the third round of the Superliga.

The hosts had an excellent first half, in which Alexandru Dobre scored two goals in the 28th and 33rd minutes, and Olimpiu Moruțan scored the third goal in the 42nd minute with a shot from 16 meters. CFR Cluj dominated the second half, managing to score through Stefan Drazic in the 52nd minute, but they could not equalize. Rapid also had other chances, but goalkeeper Vâlceanu was up to the task.

With this victory, Rapid climbs to first place in the standings, having 7 points, while CFR Cluj is in tenth place with 3 points.
