Noah Lyles, Olympic champion in the 100 meters and four-time world champion in the 200 meters, achieved a remarkable performance at the Ostrava Golden Spike meeting in the Czech Republic on Tuesday, where he won the rarely organized 150 meters event.

Lyles recorded a time of 14.67 seconds, thus surpassing the previous world record of 14.92 seconds set by Jamaican Kishane Thompson. The 28-year-old athlete stated that he felt it was time to improve his time, emphasizing the difficulty of running from a staggered start.

South African Sinesipho Dambile finished second with 14.78 seconds, while Australian Gout Gout came in third with 14.96 seconds. Lyles' performance marks an important moment in his career and in the history of athletics.
