Osaka had a tense semifinal, saving seven of nine break points and capitalizing on four of five opportunities. After a dominating first set, the second set was even, but Osaka closed the match calmly with two match points. In the final, she will face the young Victoria Mboko, and a win would give her her first WTA title since the 2021 Australian Open. This is the fifth WTA 1000 final of her career.
