The women's singles final of the tennis tournament at Wimbledon will be contested between two players from the Czech Republic.

Linda Noskova has qualified for the first time in a Grand Slam final, after defeating Marta Kostyuk, 6-4, 6-4, in the semifinals at Wimbledon. The athlete from the Czech Republic will meet her compatriot Karolina Muchova in the final.

This is the first time in 17 years that the women's final at the All England Club is contested by two players representing the same country. The previous instance was in 2009, when Serena Williams defeated her sister, Venus Williams, 7-6 (3), 6-2.

So far, Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova have met only once before. That happened last year, in the third round of the US Open, when Muchova won 2-1 in sets.
